Research Highlights

Modes of Variability

Catalyst is the Cooperative Agreement between UCAR and DOE, research foci revolve around climate variability and change.

Software Development

Project Raijin is an NSF EarthCube project to develop software for analysis of climate model data on unstructured grids.

High Resolution Climate

EarthWorks is an NSF-funded project to develop a coupled, ultra-high resolution climate model based on MPAS Atmosphere and Ocean.

Radiation Parameterization

We are working to implement RTE-RRTMGP as a new radiation parameterization in CAM.

Climate Sensitivity

As part of the NOAA MAPP Climate Sensitivity Task Force, we are developing process-oriented diagnostics of cloud feedbacks.

Model Diagnostics

ADF is a python-based diagnostics framework.
